Top 10 Things You Can Do To Prepare For A Bridal Show

One of the dreams of a would-be bride is to have a colorful wedding event that gets all the attendees excited for a very long time. This does not come on a platter of gold, it involves serious planning. And one of the right ways to start is to be exposed through the experience of others or by contacting some experts in the field through bridal shows. On your own, you can do research on the list of items needed for your wedding but something its important to get advice from the experts, and that is the power of one-on-one interactions with the right vendors like caterers, photographers, venue owners, DJs and so on, all in one place. This is only possible through bridal shows. And as a bride, you don't have to wait for your wedding to be around the corner before attending one. In this piece, I will talk about the top ten things you can do to prepare for a bridal show.

1. Make you research about the show: This will allow you to know the show's schedule especially the time of the fashion show. Most brides don't always want to miss this aspect of the bridal show. Aside from that, you will get to know the list of vendors that will be at the show. Knowing that, you can visit their websites before the show to have an idea of what to expect from each vendor.

2. Go for ticketed event: Attending a free show comes with a lot of stress compared with a ticketed one. Though it depends on your style but I can tell you that free shows are generally more crowded, and may have attendees who are not actually brides. And most times, there are no organized stage show there. But in a ticketed show, you tend to get some things that are not available in the free one.

3. Get your tickets in advance: Getting your show tickets in advance will save you valuable time and money. You can get some discounts purchasing it online and ahead of time. And as the show draws closer, they may discontinue the discount or the price may even increase.

4. You may consider the VIP option: There are grades when it comes to show tickets. You can get some tickets that do not give you the access to all the vendors at the show. But with a VIP ticket, you can't be restrained in any way at the show.

5. Find out what is trending: By simply going social, you can know what other brides are posting and sharing online. And the best vendors around you are typically up-to-date with the ever evolving trends. So it is better you know this as it helps you to know what to go for at the show.

6. Have a list of all the questions you want to ask: Having these questions beforehand will make you be at the top of your game as you will engage the vendors and participate in the whole process. Even if you are the shy type, you can write it down and read it out later.

7. Create a joint e-mail address for you and your partner: This is vital because as you move from one vendor to another, you will be filling a lot of forms that will ask of your details, including your e-mail address for updates, contests, ballots and so on. Rather than supplying your personal e-mail, provide the joint one so that both of you can be carried along.

8. Have printed labels: This will make it easy for you because as you visit every booth at the show, you will be required to fill out your information. You save yourself time and stress by just dropping your label with them. This can just have the details of both couples like names, e-mail address, wedding date, phone number and so on. This will allow you to spend more time asking questions, rather than writing. You can assign this task of printing your label to your Maids of Honor.

9. Come with a notebook or planner: This will allow you to take down important notes, circle important dates and even mark down your favorites.

10. Wear comfortable shoes: Since you will be on your feet for a very long time moving from one vendor to another, it is important you put on a comfortable dress and shoes.

On a final note, doing these ten things above will really go a long way in giving you a nice experience during the bridal show. Its important to involve your support team, mainly those whose opinion you value, who says you cannot come with your fiancé! Guys usually have fun at bridal shows.
